Days after their reconciliation; Cassper Nyovest opened up on his feud with AKA. In August 2015, the ‘Mama I Made It’ rapper took to Twitter to lash out at AKA for slapping him at a club, which AKA denied. However, weeks later he admitted to the accusation. Speaking in an interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk, Cassper Nyovest said he wanted to fight back but considered himself a brand and a role model to several South African youth.
“At that moment I wanted to fight back. I wanted to smash him. People got between us, and as I looked into the situation I said ‘this is not me. I don’t want to be known for this. Cassper Nyovest is a brand I respect. Kids will do anything I do. So if they hear about me fighting then they will fight.’
The pair ended their long feud with a hug on Saturday, October 28, 2016, after AKA showed up at the after party of Cassper Nyovest’s #FillUpOrlandoStadium concert.
